OPC UA Admin Installation / Update
Get necessary installation files:
Admin: https://spcprowinspcmodint.blob.core.windows.net/opcua/prod/opcua_installer.exe
Previously create a folder in "C:\Program Files(x86)" called OPC UA Pro and grant Full control permissions for "Everyone"
Run "opcua_installer.exe" and follow the Wizard steps, as first it will show the deafult path for installation
Note: The wizard will ask if you want to overwrite this folder due is already created, select option "Yes".
After it will create both Start Menu Folder and Desktop Shortcut
Finally we're ready to Install, this process coul take a few minutes...
At the end of the installation, authorization will be requested to open the "LauncherPro" setting tool
Within the settings, we have:
Path to WinSPC Remote
Database connection String that you may verify with the "Check Connection" button
SPCPro Application Service Url and port
Most important the OPC Server parameters, you may also verify with the "Check Connection" button
If it is the first time installing it will show a connection error like this
This is because the client certificate must be authorized on the OPC server.
After authorizing the certificate, checking the connection again should no longer result in an error. Now you can save the setting, and the application should be ready to use.
Upon the first opening of OPC UA Admin, an initial synchronization of OPC nodes will be attempted. Similar to the Launcher, it will result in an error the first time, requiring you to authorize the certificate again from the OPC Server.
Trusting in this certificate as we did during the set up. should allow us to retry and load the OPC Nodes correctly.
